Every year I learn so much about people in my industry and the clients I serve. Every time i sit down with a bride I learn more about myself, and how I can truly make their wedding that much more special!
Typically at a wedding reception you play the hottest songs mixed in with some line dancing songs and some good ol' oldies songs. The Reception I DJ'd at this past Saturday.. was truly touching, the brides father passed away and everyone involved knew it was a difficult moment when it was time for the "father - daughter' dance, well she wanted to involve her uncle.. and we named it the "uncle - daughter" dance. The dance went over beautifully, until she started tearing up... luckily we had a plan! her father.. loved classic rock, and had his favorite songs that he would jam to when she was a kid.. well thats where I stepped in, as soon as seen her tearing up.. I cut the song and went right into some classic "feel good" rock songs(zz top, the who, the doors), the family gathered around and helped her get in a better mood, they all had a great "air guitar" session right on the dance floor...
