I recently got a chance to check out another DJ at a wedding reception. He did great, but there was things i would have done to warm the room, and what I mean by that is to prepare the crowd for the entrance of the Bridal Party! i think this is crucial! now i know some people dont want that... but you could clearly see that this Bridal Party wanted to be ROCKSTARS! and its my belief that the guests needed to practice. call it "rehearsal cheering" lol
What I like to do is rehearse how people are gonna react to the entrance of each bridesmaid being escorted by their groomsmen! each couple should be cheered accordingly, with great applause!
so yes.. i practice with my crowd to build the energy in the room! i want goosebumps crawling up my clients skin! I want them to feel like all the stress.... all the head ache.. everything was worth that one moment where they felt shrills up and down their body because all their close friends and family were screaming for them! that to me is why I love djing weddings!
