I absolutely love doing nightclubs, sweet 16s and private events.. why? cuz it makes me a better DJ! period!
Some "Wedding DJs" proclaim that they only do weddings.. which is ok i guess. but put that "only wedding dj" in a nightclub and watch him go down in flames! he doesnt have the talent to dj the nightclub.. it just wont work! and guess what, if you take an "only nightclub dj" and put them in a wedding environment... its not gonna work either. because they have never done a wedding either. it does take a certain type of person to wedding.. or nightclubs. or if youre lucky..and talented enough, YOU CAN DO BOTH!
But remember people.. a DJ who plays more.. is typically better, he has experience, hes done it, hes been there before!! whether its weddings, nightclubs, sweet 16s... whatever the case.. every time that dj learns more after each gig
Most people getting married are young.. and vibrant! and they go to the bars and nightclubs! so its def not a bad thing to have you wedding dj play in bars and nightclubs on the side!! you are getting a DJ who knows how to get people dancing.. and thats half the battle at a reception!

Now are they gonna play what you hear in the bar at your reception? well hopefully not.. and this is something you must be prepared to talk to them about! i truly know the difference between a bar gig and someones special day! this is what makes me unique! the fact that i can go into a nightclub and absolutely kill it.. go to a sweet 16 and have the kids dancing the whooooole night! and then go to a wedding and show my clients a great time!
Amen to that Henry!! Your talent definitely shined through at my wedding! We couldn't have asked for a better person to make our special day a party to remember!!
